The NFL Picks season kicks off on Thursday with one of the better matchups on the card when the Tennessee Titans visit the Pittsburgh steelers. Tennessee is coming off a huge season that saw them go 13-3 SU during the regular season.  The Top Seed Titans were not able to take on the #2 seeded Steelers in the NFL Picks playoffs last year as they were upset by the Ravens.  Tennessee has won four of the past five NFL Picks matchups and beat them the last time they met to take away last seasons top seed from the Steelers.  In the off-season the Titans elected to let Albert Haynesworth got and are hoping that doesn't come back to bite them.  In the five NFL Picks games that he didn't start last year the Titans were only 1-4 while giving up an average of 27 pionts. The defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers are not only looking for revenge but their fans remain outraged after last season when Titan players, LenDale White and Keith Bulluck stomped on the Terrible Towel. The Steelers are hoping that they can repeat last years NFL Picks performance at home at they averaged over 24 points per game on 310 yards of total offense while their defense gave up only 15 points per game and 237 yards of offense.  Overall the Steelers have a defense that allowed just 13.9 PPG and 4.11 YPP which ranked them first in the NFL.

Picks/Predictions:  The Steelers come in 3-1 ATS in their L4 games hosting HC Jeff Fisher’s club. However, the Titans are 7-0 ATS in September the last two seasons. Pittsburgh is  39-18 ATS as home favorite of between 3.5-7 points.
