The defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers have looked anything but the Champs as they come into this NFL Picks contest versus the San Diego Chargers at 1-2 overall.  Tonight they will be looking to get back on track and avoid their first three game NFL Picks losing streak in three years.  The last time that they Steelers started the NFL picks season at 1-3 they ended up 8-8 overall. One thing that the Steelers are going to have to do is to get tougher down the stretch.  In their last two NFL Picks games they have been outscored 24-0 in the fourth quarter. Home cooking could be just what the doctor ordered as the Steelers are 34-9 their L43 at home while the Chargers are 0-13 during the regular season versus the Steelers. One issue for the Steelers has been their ground game as they rank 27th in the league averaging only 81 yards per game.  But as usual, their defense has been good as they rank 6th in run defense giving up and average of 77 yards per NFL Picks game. Even with all of these issues the Steelers could very well have won all of their NFL picks games and the public looks for them to continue to dominate the Chargers as SportsBook.com as they a -6 point home favorite.

San Diego has started the season at 2-1 and is off to its best start in Norv Turner's three seasons.  However, they have had severe issues running the ball as they rank dead last in the AFC with 66.3 rushing yards per game. Darren Sproles is averaging 2.4 per carry.  Star RB LadanianTomlinson's had missed the last two NFL picks games and is questionable as well for tonights game.  It's San Diego's passing attack that has them winning as they currently rank second in the league with 315.7 yards per game. Last week QB Philip Riviers threw for 303 yards and rushed for a TD of his own in their win over Miami.  Rivers favorite receiver has been Vincent Jackson, who is second in the NFL with 105.7 receiving yards per game. San Diego could have some problems on defense as  LB Shawne Merriman is questionable for tonights game. Both offenses should be challenged to put the ball in the end zone but the experts at SportsBook.com as the NFL odds for the Over/Under listed at 42.

Game Betting Predictions: Pittsburgh is 5-2 ATS their L7 at home and are 4-1 ATS their L5 versus the Chargers at home. The Chargers are 5-1 SU & 6-0 ATS in the L6 pre-bye week contests. San Diego head coach Norv Turner is 17-5 ATS record as a road dog of 3.5-7 points.

This game should be a measuring stick for the Steelers.  A loss will probably just about put them out of the race to repeat as Super Bowll Champions.  It's the Sunday Night matchup and the NFL odds are ready to go at SportsBook.com
